How do I use the butters?
Amber Spider butters may be used as a moisturizer for the hair or body. Remember a little goes a long way! Our butters have a low melting point so it emulsifies easily in your hands.
Are the butters (lotions) safe for children?
All butters (and lotions) have been tested on myself before it is shipped to you. Amber Spider is not responsible for individual reactions to any particular ingredient. Each product description on our website includes a complete list of ingredients. People with sensitivities to any listed ingredients should not use the product. In case you are in doubt, try an allergy patch test and if at any time irritation occurs discontinue use of the product.
What is the shelf life of your butters (lotions)?
Amber Spider butters (lotions) do not contain synthetic preservation and thus are not made to sit on shelves for years. We manufacture butters (lotions) in small batches to ensure freshness. If purchasing large sizes of butters (lotions), we highly recommend using an applicator (like a small spoon or a wooden stick) to help preserve freshness as long as possible. Time and temperature changes can affect consistency, scent, color and potency. Suggested "use by dates" are based on the date of purchase. To achieve the best potency please use butters (lotions) within 6-12 months of purchase.
Can I custom order your butters or dolls?
Yes. Just complete an order for a specialty item, including as much information as possible. We will contact you before beginning production to verify that we are able to complete your order as requested.

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act); we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
In general, orders are processed and shipped within 7 to 10 business days, with the exception of custom orders. Custom orders may take up to 30 days to be processed and shipped. You will be contacted in the event your order’s completion time is expected to exceed 30 days. If you need your order expedited, please select expedited shipping. All shipping will be tracked and you will be notified by email when the order has shipped. We advise the customer to take note of the estimated time of arrival to make sure the package is retrieved. Once an order has shipped, Amber Spider is not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed to be delivered to the address as entered for the order. In the event that you do not receive your item, please contact the carrier for information regarding the delivery. Make sure to have your tracking number available to provide to the carrier to assist with the investigation.
cold pack shipping
During the summer all butters are shipped with a cold pack to help prevent melting. While we can't guarantee your butter will not melt, we hope shipping supplemented with the cold pack will prevent this from happening. After you have been notified of when your order has shipped, we advise the customer to take note of the estimated time of arrival to make sure the package is retrieved when it's delivered to avoid it from sitting in the heat and to help prevent melting. In the event that your butter melts simply place it in the refrigerator and let it cool and get firm again. This process may cause your butter to crystallize but it does not lessen the quality of your butter and it will emulsify in your hands as usual. Do expect some settling to occur should your butter melt.
Returns are generally NOT accepted. Due to the nature of our all-natural products we cannot assure the purity of merchandise once it has been shipped. For safety and hygiene reasons merchandise cannot be restocked or resold so we do not accept returns. We inspect all dolls before they leave our facility to insure that the doll is as described on our website or per customization order. If you choose to return any item that is NOT damaged or defective there is a 25% restocking fee. You have five (5) business days from receipt to notify us of your desire to return. At that time, a Return Authorization Number (RAN) will be given and must be written on the outside of the package or the package will NOT be accepted. All returned items must be returned in their original condition, including all papers, packing materials, wrapping, original boxes, etc. Shipping costs are NOT refundable. The balance, after restocking fee is deducted, will be refunded or applied to a store credit. Store credits expire after 90 days. When using the store credit you will need to mention said credit in the comments section of your next order. In the event that your product is damaged or defective, please contact customer service. Please submit a photo image of the damaged or defective item. The package may be returned to the designated shipping address after customer service staff authorizes the return. Damage will be reported to either UPS or USPS and a damage claim initiated. Following inspection, merchandise will be replaced or a refund will be given totaling the purchase price, minus shipping costs. There are NO refunds of shipping costs. You may cancel an order before it ships from our facility. Please contact our office to verify whether an item has been packed or marked for shipping prior to cancelling an order. Your satisfaction is our goal and we truly believe that you will love our products but if you are ever unhappy please let us know. We want you to have a positive experience and we will work with you if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
